PSF AGROSOR-MFCE PROJECT

Project Overview

Micro enterprise is an emerging sector in the current context of Bangladesh. The sector includes more than 200 types of business sectors that play a leading role in the economic development of the country. Starting from making earning sources/employment for the poor people living in rural areas, this sector plays an important role in reducing the income disparity between different classes of people living in the society. It is said that this sector plays the most important role in creating a source of earning/employment for the people of various professions, especially the lower class, in the geographically diverse social system of Bangladesh.

Despite the importance of Micro-enterprise in the socio-economic development of the country, this sector is currently stuck in various financial and non-financial constraints. It is against this backdrop that Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) designed the "Micro-enterprise Financing and Credits Enhancement Project (MFCE) with financial and technical assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

According to the overall support and guidance of PKSF, Palli Shishu Foundation is implementing Agrosor-MFCE project through a total of 21 branches in Five districts from July-2023 respectively.
